Whaw, I love the relatively flat look, i.e. no glow, fluid, etc.
Definitely a theme deserving the "PRO".

Two ideas if I may :
1. there's really very little contrast in the pushed buttons. Perhaps this is rather typical for dark themes ?
2. the sliders are aqua look, I strongly suggest you give them your overall style.

Congratulations for this great work.

Great theme you captured the look of Motion very well. I realize that this is an early beta and my advice for the finished poduct would be to add a rollover and pressed state too the titlebar widgets. Other than that its looking very good.

Looks really nice, I'm gonna test it out, one thing I can say right away. Why "BlackPro" when its actually gray?

It's based on the Motion dashboard windows which are mainly gray/black. Not burgundy, not silverish, not chartreuse. not reddish blue greenish, not....

Pic looks good. I don't try many themes but since I have light sensitive eyes and aqua damn near blinds me I'll give it a go but have to say before I do that dark themes don't work that well [YET} on os x. At least for everyday useage. But when finished with the chores and doing some surfing and funstuff dark is cool.

I like it very much except the apple (it's too 3d compared to the rest) and list view (see picture)!

wow, very Pro.

just because you really needed to hear my thanks... great job you've done. when i've stopped playing around with all the other 'toy' themes out there i'll switch to this and get some serious work done.

It's looking good. But there are a few things need doing to make it like the Motion dashboards: they have a lighter coloured titlebar, the scrollbars don't seem to fit (perhaps use some white on them), also the dashboards have sliders that could be copied directly but you seem to have made your own version of them, likewise with checkboxes.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, just constructive criticism to make it more like the dashboards.

Hopefully helpful feedback; The apple menu looks better white, but it's really pixilated and kinda distorted looking. Another thing I noticed was the toolbar widget (right end tittle bar widget) looks a little blunt as just a white block, and looks out of place when clicked and it turns blue. The last little thing that isn't really a problem, but a little odd looking is the shape of the ends of the title bar, it looks like the corners were just cut off, not round.

Looking nice asides from the little things I just noted above. Keep up the good work.

Yep, had to fix it up a bit.....

There's a lot of elements that have pixelation, i.e. all of the button glyphs, and some of the text colors are only readable if the user selects a dark color background of the finder windows. This may be by design though. It's getting there though.

looking real slick black dog!

Have notices a bit of pixelisation too, most notably the apple in the menu bar and the little button on the top right in finder windows that hide the toolbar (dunno what is called)

Somethings i think would make this cool (all maybes)

- have the three glyphs (close window etc) etc faded, then softly light on mouse over (i.e from dark grey to light grey on rollover)
-the resize bars in the bottom right stand out a bit much for mine maybe dim them
-maybe the tollbar buttons should be borderless?

theme looks great though, just needs a little polish to pull in the pixels (on corner of finder windows especially)

thanks for the work!

edit: changed my mind about the menu bar, dont need transparency on th menus they look fine

nice mod dj!

as far as this theme goes.... i love the theme! i have been working in motion for a few weeks now and love it!
with that said, since i work on my mac so much the issues with black themes are tough in certain apps etc. would you be open to tinting this theme a bit to more of a grey scale where you could use the typ black text?

just an idea. i love the theme big time, because of its flatness and would love to have it be more 'usable'.

just a thought...

keep up the great work. you have a gift at this....

peace.

List view in Finder has issues with this. Somehow the filenames are hardly readable for me, they are barely visible since the text is nearly white on a white background. The other view options are fine.

yes, i could be off but i think this a typ prob with white text in general and not a fault of the overall theme. i hope shapeshifter can deal with this in the near future(?)

i love dark themes but these issues usually make them a problem when i'm working on projects..... but in all fairness, this isn't the designers fault, just a fault of tech(?)

as far as i know... i certainly hope this gets fixed.. because i work in the evening and early morning and find the darker themes much easier on the eyes in low light conditions.
