I've heard that you are unable to watch the show that is currently being recorded by the AlchemyTV?
Is this true?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

No, That is not true.
You can definatly watch the show you are currently recording.
I have one.
I usually don't watch the show I'm recording though.

That's so odd!
I just received a reply email back from Alchemy and they said you CAN'T watch what you're recording ......
they said it's a hardware limitation?
*confused*

I don't watch the shows I record when they play; however, I just scheduled a recording while watching TV and within a minute of the program's beginning a warning came up saying that I could either close the TV window (and stop watching) or keep watching and cancel the scheduled recording.
I cancelled the recording, but I could record the show while watching if I either pressed F1 or the Record button on the on-screen remote.

i have found that on my G5 if i try recording then the window freezes. just goes black. the audio carries on. then when i try to watch the recording it hasnt worked just records a black screen.
also everytime the program closes it looses all of its channel memory settings.

Version 2.2.3?
If you pre-set the schedule, then I don't think it lets you to open up the TV window. Most of time, I click record manually while watching the content.

so if something is scheduled via TitanTV to record, you can't open the TV window to watch the show being recorded?
