Hey there,
think I may have some faulty memory (getting weird errors, but there may be other reasons for it). Would love some recommendations for good all round utilities - in particular, for checking HD and memory integrity.
TIA,

All Macs come with a Hardware Test CD which can diagnose most basic hardware problems. TechTool from Micromat ( www.micromat.com ) can also be used to test the CPU, RAM, hard drive, etc. If you get an AppleCare extended warranty for your Mac, TechTool is included on the CD.

DiskWarrior for the hard disk.
TechTool Pro if you want to check other hardware like RAM and the like. However, TTP's hard disk tests aren't great.

The OS X forum is for discussion of the Mac OS X operating system itself: topics about software that runs on OS X belong in the Software forum.
