Send us a link (or a name) of a song that came out awhile back that you feel was COMPLETLY missed by everyone, flew under the radar, but you think is really, really special

Oasis-Stop Crying Your Heart Out

Phenomenal song, one of Noel's best, i believe it made Blender's top 10 list of "Most overlooked song" back when it was released, citing it as one of the best ballads in years. and I agree.

The Vines -Autumn Shade 2

Great slow song. Nothing incredibly groundbreaking but the layers of voices work.

Share some of your favorite songs that you're sure were overlooked.

The most underrated songwriter of the last 20 years is Neil Finn, former lead singer of Crowded House. Here's an iMix of some of his best songs, including "Fall At Your Feet," "Distant Sun," and "Don't Dream It's Over."

He's about to start touring the U.S. with his brother Tim for the upcoming second Finn Brothers album.

Wilco - Jesus, Etc.
Beautiful song, beautiful lyrics ("You were right about the stars; Each one is a setting sun").

Phish - Waste
One of Phish's finest penned songs.

Pink Floyd - What's... Uh the Deal
A great tune off a very underrated album.

The Doors - You're Lost Little Girl
An eerie song off their best album. One of my favourite Doors songs.

The Beatles - Hey Bulldog
The Beatles' most underrated song IMO (has a great riff too!)

John Lennon - Isolation
One of the darker songs off probably the best Beatles solo effort.

Crowded House was one of my favourite Aussie bands (although they're partly from New Zealand). "Don't Dream It's Over" is a great song!

Daylight - Aesop Rock
Never heard his music before he had a local concert, and I was given his album. Neat rapping style, and a classic song.

I don't know how overlooked it is, but one of my favorites is Suddenly Everything Has Changed by The Flaming Lips.

A slightly more obscure one is Come Downstairs and Say Hello by Guster. It starts off slow, but builds a nice momentum.

The Bad Plus are fairly well known for a jazz band, I suppose, but two great songs from their latest album, And Here We Test Our Powers of Observation and Iron Man are probably not that famous. The former is an original piece with a lot of energy and a funky groove, and the latter is the rock classic reformulated as a jazz tune.

Dave Brubeck's Blue Rondo a la Turk is another jazz classic that could be overlooked depending on your definition of the word. It's classy but very accessible.

Are you in America? I am, and Oasis used to be my favorite band. I think pretty much everything of theirs has been looked over here, Wonderwall aside.

But a band I think has definitely been overlooked (in the USA) is Gomez

Bring it On is their best album (and debut), but I own all of their CDs and listen to all of them. Also, they give one of the greatest live performances I have seen.

If you like original music, check them out. You will be glad that you did.

The creative talent of the band is from NZ, the rest of the band (the Australian part) was chaff.

Typical Australians stealing our stars (though you can have Russell Crowe as we think he is a big wank! )
