I receive many Emails that have pictures, clip art, etc. inbedded in the Email that are NOT attachments. They an integral part of the email. They are not attachments.
When I forward this Email all the pictures, etc are erased-- not present when received at the other end. How can I forward the Email and have the pictures etc. also be forwarded.
Thanks, Maury

Well, this really belongs in the Classic Software forum. (Not that really matters, though, both of these forums are pretty dead and should be merged again into one Classic Mac OS Discussion forum.) But, let me get to your issue. The most likely cause is you are getting HTML mail, like the mail Apple likes to send out. OE provides very limited HTML mail composition features, and as a result forwarding HTML mail with OE will strip the img code. I don't think there's a way to directly prevent this in OE, since I can't seem to find any other attachment option than the default inline method. But you do have some choices, in order of best to worst:

1) Switch to a different mail client, such as Netscape's Composer. It should by default be set to convert forwarded messages into attachments, thereby preserving all formatting.

2) Download the images manually and attach them. The problem with this is, if you're getting HTML mail, the images are probably set up in specific ways, so just attaching them at the end of the email won't make much sense to your recipient.

3) Click the Forward button in OE and manually insert the relevant HTML code. This option makes absolutely no sense to me, unless it's your only choice.

I hope this helped.
