Exactly how do you burn a disc??? AND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT IDVD!! I TALKING ABOUT A FAST ENCODING HARDWARE!!! Like Burnz, Disc-o, Toast, etc. How DO you do it? Everytime I select, Burn a VIDEO_TS DVD, I drag the video files to the menu list (the files are avi) and I burn it, whats strange is that it takes only like 1-2 minutes to burn it, BUT nothing burns, I put it in my DVD Player and nothing plays, not even on my computer. HOW DO YOU DO IT???!! I really need help, I just want for once to burn a DVD with an encoding hardware instead of having to use the asslong iDVD.

You can't drop arbitrary AVI files into a VIDEO_TS folder and expect anything meaningful to happen. Those programs are probably being smart enough to know that the files in VIDEO_TS need to be MPEG2 (and possibly with some special headers).

If you want to place the AVI files on a DVD data disk for playback in a computer, make a DVD data disk instead of a DVD Video disk.
If you want to play the video files in a set top DVD player, you need to reencode them as MPEG2. There are several alternatives to iDVD to do this with.

If you have Toast 7, you should be able to click on the "Video" tab, click "DVD Video" (do NOT click "DVD Video from Video_TS", because you do not have a Video_TS folder but avi files). Then drag the AVI files into the list, choose a menu style, encoding quality etc. and click burn. That's it.
