Ok i have a ibook G3 800 mhz 640 ram 30 gig HD cd-rom 12 incher. ok now when i start it up it makes a light noise and a 2 sec delay to make the tada sound. then it goes through the start up but after the osx screen then the spinin beachball comes on and nothing will happen after that no matter how long it let it spin. i tried the pram keystroke and nothing and all i have is a dell besides the problemed ibook. So anyone know how to fix this and oh yeah i forgot i lost the restoer cd roms and all i have is a tiger dvd. so any help would be great thankz.

Boot from the Tiger CD and see whether the SMART status of the drive says Verified or not. If it does, then try repairing permissions, failing that, try and archive and install.

Does the Dell have firewire and do you have a firewire cable?

Could you not think of a more informative title?

Worst title ever. How would a reader know whether he could be of help if he doesn't know what you need help with? And it's very rare for someone to post a thread about how well their computer is doing, so it's sort of assumed that any new thread in a technical forum is asking for help. I've fixed it for you, but please make sure any future threads you start have informative titles (which is, by the way, required by our General Forum Rules).
