I am very frustrated at this point by one of those issues that makes you want to chunk all technology out of the house. For the past year, I have had a Western Digital drive connected via USB to my Airport Extreme Base Station. I have 4 computer users in the house (Mac, Ubuntu) and everyone has been happily connecting to this drive wirelessly for file sharing/backup.
This week, with no changes of any type in the environment (not even a restart initially), the iMac in my office can no longer connect to this drive. The machine recognizes the drive is available, but when I try to connect, the process times out to a beach ball. I have tried updating the machine, updating the firmware on the base station, rebooting, rebooting routers etc. Five other machines are connecting with no problem at the moment (Windows 7, Ubuntu, OSX10.5.5, OSX 10.5.7).
Anyone think of any reason this one machine would be crapping out?
