My Grandpa is just starting to use his iMac and wants a Poker game. I'm gonna get one for fathers day for him, but having never used one, need to know a good one.

I'd like one that has a lot of stuff (like a casino game). He's using OS 9 by the way.

Thanks.

About the only real choice (of which i am aware) is iPoker (formerly PowerPoker).

Hoyle Casino contains various casino games including blackjack, craps, roulette and 5 kinds of Poker.

Alternatively, Hoyle Slots and Video Poker includes about a dozen variations of poker.

Both games are published by Sierra and are available from http://www.hoylegames.com/ or any Mac software vendor.

I liked Hoyle Casino 3. Also, he should try Yahoo! poker online, along with other card games. That way he can actually play with living, breathing human beings, and not just a computer.
Smile. It will make people wonder what you're thinking.

It's good for anyone who wants to hone their poker skills for real-life action. It has a number of different players, each with their own idiosyncracies and quirks. I doubt that a multi-game program that does craps and roulette, and only has five (or twelve) poker games, is in the same league. But it all depends on what you want from it and why you want it, so YMMV.
