Checked the apple site, and there are no manuals for the aluminum pbs. The one for the titanium doesnt work, and I don't want to randomly undo screws. Help!

I'm pretty sure there are PDF manuals online.

http://manuals.info.apple.com/Apple_...Book17inch.PDF

I only have a bookmark for the 17" one but it should help as well.

Uh...I hate to say this, but wasn't there a manual included with your Powerbook? I'm willing to bet good money that your answer lies within the pages of that tome.

The "Getting Started ..." manual that came with your PB explains how to do this. The manual also says you will need a "00" philips screwdriver, but some people have posted that you really need a "000" philips screwdriver.

I got both 00 and 000 phillips heads. The 00 will slip out easily and barely fit all the way into the screw head. The 000 is perfect and gives a solid fit. So despite what Apple says, you should probably look for a 000, otherwise you may strip the screw heads easily or need to use excessive force to remove them.

Yep, get a 000 screwdriver, or, you can do what I did. Use a pocketknife and just be very careful not to let the knife's tip slip out. Worked like a charm here.
