Warcraft III LIKES RAM. If Warcraft III does not GET RAM, Warcraft III refuses to run well. If Warcraft III is being played in OS X, Warcraft III wants EVEN MORE RAM. In OS 9, Warcraft III might just let you get away with 128 MB - maybe - but in OS X Warcraft III insists that you add another 256 MB or so or it will swap like all billy-o.
800 MHz is fine, though.

Get 512 to 1 gig of Ram. You won't just notice the performance difference in games, you'll notice it in everything. My iBook has only 256, and I'll be upgraded that soon enough. My Powermac had 256 and I upgraded it to 1.25 gigs and the difference was absolutely amazing.
Dual 1 ghz MDD with 80 gig and 1.25 DDR
17' Flat Panel Studio Display
14' 800 mhz iBook 30 gig and 256 SDRAM
20 gig iPOD

RAM helped our 266 Beige G3 Tower (our makeshift server) proform reasonablily well is 10.2, after putting in 512 RAM that is.

Than again, I had 1 gig of RAM last summer, and never used more than 512 of it for my general usage. So I sold half of it. I now need another 512 stick because of al the photo editing I"m doing.

So listen to everyone and get lts of RAM!

the thought of running OS X and a game (or even OS X alone) with 128 MB of RAM makes me want to cry. Plus the more characters that are created as the game goes on will bog the system down too.

It will be a little jumpy but fun nonetheless however I would recommend more ram. I play it on my 700mHz iMac w/ 640mb ram.

You have a Tibook with 128 megs oRAM??!? These Tingys shipped with at least 256 MB. What did you do? Pull out the 256, sell it on ebay and get a cheap 128er 128 is even too little for OS X.

Just curious...

I might be mistaken... but I believe the very first 800Mhz (not 867) PB had a BTO option for 128Mb... in fact I think all of them from that gen did. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I remembered seeing a bunch of refurbed older 667 and 800Mhz tiBooks w/ 128Mb on powermax a while ago.

Hmm, how much video ram does that model (800 Ti) have? is it 16 or 32?

Warcraft also likes lots of VRAM.

The 800 is the same as the old 550's and 667's... 16Mb I believe.
