Bank Gothic Light - It is not freeware to my knowledge but a long google search may locate it.

hey the font in your menus look bold, how did u do that?? I am asking because all of a sudden the font in my menus look bold and I have no idea what the heck I did. It's really annoying and I think the problem is with shapeshifter. I have logged out, restared, and shut down and still nothing. I have applied several themes but the font still looks bold. However, when I turn off shapeshifter, the font in my menus don't seem bold anymore. Has anyone else had this problem before and can point me in the right direction??..Thx.
nvm..figured it out..had to set font smoothing to "best for crt" in appearance pref.pane..doh..

I just gotta know where you got the black Dragon / Ying yang desktop. That is probably the coolest desktop I've seen. I have a smaller version of it on my P900. Only the ying yang id golden.

both versions were modified by me from the originals and i'm not sure where they came from originally...i think the Siro desktop was on pixelgirl.
either way, since i'm not really sure about the rules with distribution and all get in touch with me privately if you would like a copy.

Get rid of it entirely? Maybe. Check MacOSXHints.com, at the very least you can edit what appears.

Easy. Edit the /etc/motd file. Remove the text and/or replace with what you want.

They're from heylove (look for Serenity)
But with the author's kind permission, I've put them here as plain mac folders. You'll even find a few extra icons I added.
BTW, if someone can point me to the last icon in Aluminium's dock (iChat ?), I'm willing to try and give it a Serenity style. IMHO this could be a step even closer to perfection

Check page 105 of the Screenshots ("ZEN touch") and following.
Personally I think they're a perfect match for my favorite Plaster, and I agree Siro could use other (not necessarily "better"). How about turning the original app icons into grayscale ?

I would love if those serenity dock icons would be filled in with turquoise to match siro and leave the rest white, or even bring it up to silver, then they would be perfect, unfortunately I am not that good at GUI stuff to pull that off, any takers?

I could try. Give me some time, I'll make a mockup.

oh boy, look out, those look good, I guess there are so many things you can do to make them look good, you could probably make like 4 siro variations, do whatever you think looks the best with the theme, I look forward to seeing your results, I have to head off for now, but I will have something to look forward to tomorrow

How do you feel about these ? It's Decipher from MacGrounds (site has ended).
A true icon creator (i.e. not me) could come up with a far better mod than this :

It's a Plaster (Takashi Izawa) mod (PlasterAGV) made by Gerrit Vanhoppen. You can find it here

Gerrit, where did you get the hd icons from, I know Luteium was supposed to post them, but I never saw them there, I am also loving how everyone is using Minimum icons already I think demograph is more on the trail of what I am looking for with siro, the other icons are nice but dont really fit the theme as well. Anyone here master font subsituting here? I would love to change my system wide font and well as ichat. Silk does not make it that easy. If anyone knows please share the info, I would greatly appreciate it.

I believe you can accomplish this, without messing with /etc/motd, by creating a file called ".hushlogin" in your home directory. Open the Terminal, make sure that you are in your home directory, and type:
$ touch .hushlogin
.hushlogin will not visable in the Finder since it starts with a period, and it should suppress the motd from being displayed.
