So I'm the happy owner of a new G5 along with a shiny new 20" widescreen monitor. I've discovered that most of the games I like -- Jedi Knight II, CoD, MoH, and Star Wars Battlefront -- don't recognize and support the monitor's native 1680x1050 resolution. Is there any way to change this on a game-by-game basis?
Thanks!

Read the ReadMe.... crazily enough, there are actually instructions in there for enabling wide screen support.
I don't know if all their games do, but I'm pretty sure that at least CoD does.
You could try a search of the IMG forums... I know it's been brought up there before.

Jedi Knight II does it. I tried it on my 17" 1.5 PB, but performance took a pretty sizeable hit. And the image is stretched, so all it does is fstretch and fill the screen.

For Jedi Knight II and Jedi Academy, pull down the console and type the following commands:
seta r_customwidth 1680
seta r_customheight 1050
seta r_mode -1
vid_restart

That's not true. The UI is stretched, but the game itself is a normal aspect ratio.

Ahh, my bad. I'll try it again with lower vid settings.

Will it remember those settings upon the next launch?
