I have spots on either side of the trackpad from resting my palms there while i type. From the oils in my skin I guess, what I can use to remove them?

Careful use of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (available at most grocery stores) actually works

i prefer the power tool, i may clean the screen with it.

I wouldn't recommend that, you see its not for cleaning computers, its for cleaning floors and those wires are metal. you can get softer pads for buffing hardwood floors and stuff.

I use Dirtex and iKlear. Don't use Dirtex on your screen.
iBook G4: 800mhz, 640mb, 40gb ("Astrid")
