I've read manuals and looked at apple site but with no luck.

Are you talking about the physical noise the trackpad button makes...? It just makes that noise.
iBook G4: 800mhz, 640mb, 40gb ("Astrid")
iPod: 30gb Photo ("Gordon"), 1gb Shuffle ("Tinker Bell")
For the record: I am female

You can enable touchpad tapping in System Preferences...so you don't have to touch the button. *shrug*

yeah I refered to the physical noise. It seems to be normal, but i've seen some ibooks or powerbook where there's no noise when you press the trackpadd button.

I now there should be an option for that, but surprisingly there's nothing at the system preferences menu. Nothingabout trackapad button......I've been told you can change these in the setup of your ibook, but it didn't come from a thrustful source, so.....

Of course there's no way to change the physical noise in software.

Yeah, that would be differences in construction.

That's the point....it is a phisycal noise but i saw other ibooks bought at the same time that mine and the trackpad button doesn't make any noise....there's no software application to avoid it, not options talking about it and is so ****ing annoying!!
i can get rid of it nor get used neither
Tks anyway!
