iTunes doesn't see my iPhone

Just as the title says. The phone is activated, and was recognized at the Apple store.
I have iTunes 7.7 and 10.5.4.

I've heard a few cases where people have had to reinstall iTunes 7.7. Try that.

I had the same issue. A full reinstallation wasn't necessary in my case though. I deleted all the iTunes preference files in ~/Library/Preferences, and that did the trick.
