Electronic. I actually enjoy my censor, but at the same time I can't help thinking that I'm living in Communist Fuzzy Wombat or something.

To all us senior members who joined under UBB, I've arranged a gift for most of us.

@aberdeenwriter, the censor was some clever coding on my part one afternoon, designed to help besson overcome his fetish. It replaces certain words. It's also easy to circumvent, since it doesn't apply to edits. And like most censorship efforts, it doesn't appear to have worked.

I think it has worked better or worse than you had ever conceived, depending on how you look at it. It is massively malfunctioning half the time, maybe it has been compromised or has gained some sort of unanticipated intellligence. It replaces all sorts of words of mine making many of my posts nonsensical. Do you notice the popsicle and the stars at the end of my response to Laminar? The work of the censor.

Aberdeenwriter, Abe, Marden and I'm impressed that you remember Marden. I wasn't Mojo but technically speaking I was since Mojo was using my unit and email. I don't know who Lerkfish was/is.

Impressive that it took you ten years to figure out, considering that post counts were plainly visible right under the poster’s name before the redesign.

Me too. I even made a custom sig image just for them, but was too chicken to put it in play.

Since we're talking up the good old stuff, anyone know who reported Ca$h to the Secret Service in January 2001? It was a most interesting mystery, and a great thread. followup thread a year later

I could finally find those threads after the data repair. To my knowledge, no one admitted a thing.

Neither. The person that did it came clean eventually. I can't recall precisely who, a couple of possibilities come to mind, but they did post it in a thread were Robert was being a... jerk.

I know who it was. I busted them too. It was some random jackass who didn't like me... so I looked up their name, and it showed up as an AOL account, signed into my mom's AOL account, and checked his profile. It gave me a last name, and a city. I then searched for the last name and city, and came up with a phone number, full name, and address.

The guy was all sassy about reporting me, and I said "Yeah well I can find you", and he didn't believe me, so I posted his phone number, he freaked out, and I never heard from him again.

I still have his contact info.
