i inheretred my sisters iPad. it took a while but the applestore reset it for me.

it connects to my iTunes (12.4.3.1 ) on an iMac ( OS 10.9.5 )

I can move movies from my iTunes library to the new ( to me ) iPad, as seen on the Left of the

iTunes app. however there is no " movie " icon on the iPad to select and paly them

why is this ? how can I fix it. ?

I of course chose to reset the iPad and got into a lot of trouble and ill have to go back to the apple

store to restore it as i dont have WiFi and it wants to connect to a WiFi network when it initially sets itself

up

many thanks

hoping there area a few Vets left here that might help me out.

what a resource McNN has been for me over the years !

What OS version? By default there is a videos app, but you can delete them now. If so, you have to re-download it from the App Store. Also try searching for the videos app using iPad Spotlight (the screen to the left of the leftmost homescreen).
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

i put one " TV " show ( which I capped vis EyeTV ) and one " home movie " that I downloaded from the internet

on both the iPad and my older iPod ( OS 8.1 ( 12B4112 )

the two files are identical formats : MPEG-4 , Low Com-lexity , 4000 kbps or so , 1280 x 720 H.263

Ill take the iPod with the newer iPad to the apple store and see what they make of it.

its working fine now.

oddly , I had to sigh in to iTunes , once , and choose to not have WiFi at home.

signed in at the Apple store and itsworking as my older systems to , manually.

so , at least for now , its a one time sign in.

thanks for your help[

may MacNN live on Forever !
