Hey all,

Time to unload my main editing rig. Here are the specs:

Dual 2.5Ghz
2GB RAM
250GB Internal SATA HD
nVidia 6800GT 256MB RAM
APX
BT
It also has a Pioneer 108 Superdrive which burns 16X and Dual Layer DVDs.

Software includes iLife 05 and I will provide a copy of Tiger once I get my hands on one, I know somebody who is buying a Mac this week and buying retail copy of tiger when it comes out, so you'd get the Up-To-Date version.

Purchased in early December.

Looking for $3000+shipping
Retail price is well over $4000 without tax.

She's in great condition and I will provide pics upon request. email me at [email protected] with questions, comments, queries and concerns...Thanks!

EDIT: Forgot to mention...I'll take non-Credit Card Paypal, or Escrow.com with a 50/50 fee split. I've done several transactions recently there and it makes the whole process easy, smooth, and secure.

Is it the first rev 2.5? The one where the seals are going on people and the liquid cooling is leaking inside? They only warranty that for 2 years I think, how old is yours?

It was built in December, 8 months after they were announced, so I would assume all the problems have been worked out. There is only one revision of the 2.5. Regardless...if you buy AppleCare, you'd be set until December 2007, which is well over 2 years from now, so if the thing decides to piss all over itself, Apple will have to replace it.

I haven't heard of a single Power Mac G5 2.5Ghz leaking coolant. Could you point me to the people who are reporting this?

Yeah, I haven't heard of it either. But there's buzz about the possibility of it around some of the forums. I highly doubt Apple would let something out that would leak coolant, but in any case, if it was a problem with early production models...it shouldn't be a problem with mine.

Apple has already changed manufacturers for the liquid cooling on these 2.5 machines. Faulty seals is the reason. I don't believe the new models are going to have the liquid cooling. Hopefully see tomorrow.

Yeah, screw it. I guess I'm going to keep it. I was hoping the new crop of G5's would be worth considering, but since it's such a meager update, I'll just hold on to the one I've got. It's got the same bloody superdrive as the new ones do and a better stock video card. I'm starting to get into some HD work anyway. Thanks to all who were interested. Mods, feel free to lock.
