There is no two ways about it, these ads suck ash!

Apple has hit an all-time-low in TV advertising.

I preffered the old cursive "hello" on the original Macintosh ads. Now it's "hi" in Helvetica.

I've never seen an ad that made me want a computer more than that one. Very clever!

I thought the one with the tray was funny. The second one wasn't that clever. Pixar does a good job conveying character's feelings through facial expressions- even with a computer. Weird...

I think they do the job intended. If you never used a Mac and saw the ad your would think they looked cool, like nothing seen before. Then you would investigate further and then get hooked. Hopefully.

Again, NOT TV ADS

They're called 'short films' and as 'animations' in the page's title, not 'ads'; furthermore, they don't appear in the real ads section at Apple's Ads page.

Some people here really need to learn how to read....

Some people here really need to learn to be less pedantic.

Hehe, I think the Superdrive one is pretty hilarious. I like it. I don't like the other one though.

Well, they *did* originally appear on the Apple ads page, but were moved as described above. Naturally, the files themselves could have been relocated as well, but maybe Apple's web people just didn't feel like setting up a directory named /hardware/GratuitousAnimationTricks/newiMac2

I think that they are just great ADS, or whatever they are. Do you think Pixar has a little extra time on their hands or something to make these?

the only thing that has bothered my about these shorts is that when the screen shows the "hi." it reminds me of the ads when the Plymouth/Dodge Neon was first introduced. even the font they use was close to that campaign......
