I think you can be considered special if besson has tealeafed your sig.

Seems like it's the same few sigs over and over. Mindfad did a better version of this thread, back in the day.

At least that's what my friends keep telling me
I can't tell is this just a mere observation, or a complaint?

I was thinking of adding more sigs to my script, I was just too lazy. It is basically a script that creates collages out of signatures, and orders them randomly. We can make these collages as big as we want, like even bigger than this entire forum!
I do accept donations for this worthwhile cause.

Did you do it in Linux? How cool would that be if you did them in Linux. Did you use the terminal and hand type it all in. That would be sweet if you used the terminal and hand typed it in. There better have been an acronym involved.

Using a GUI to do that would have taken thousands of years. Instead, a simple terminal command made it easy to set up that script!!

I don't understand why anyone uses a GuI when a command could be manually typed into terminal. I surf MacNN with the terminal and all of my posts are entered that way. I even loathe having to type the acronym GUI into the terminal. So much so that I will start phonetically spelling it. Goowee.

There are 40 sigs in my collage now, so how many combinations would there be? How does the Finite work again? Does 40 to the power of 40 give you the combinations including repetitions or without repetitions? Anyway, multiply this by the amount of time it would take to make one of these collages, and you will see how incredibly productive I was

Sorry man, I didn't know about your sig wall...
Can I rip off the signatures on your wall? This collage is going to be freaking massive... heheh. So much fun!
All I have to do is keep on saving images into my sig directory and this collage image will grow and grow and grow and grow... until.... I don't know! Until it is so big it EXPLODES! And then we all die!! Hehheheh..

Well that's the funny thing...how many of those sigs include materials copyrighted by someone else? I know mine does.

hahahha funny question - we all know the answer to that
Anyways as Laminar mentioned, I too fall into that category that I'm using Apple's copyrighted image and the last time I checked my email, apple has not sent their approval
Personally I don't care, I think its Besson's attempt to mess with the people on the forum. Like I said it matters little if he wants to use mine.

Do you mean for the collage, or for my post signature, or both? I'm happy to remove any signatures that people don't want me using, but so far I haven't been asked.

I once found a MacNN sig of mine being used by someone on a cell phone forum. The strange part was that it wasn't really a very nice sig.

Personally I think both and to be honest the onus should be on you asking not the other way around.
Like I said before I don't care if you use mine, but others have put a lot of work into their sigs and I think the decent move would have been to ask them and not just use it till they complain.

I'm not using their content as a means to enhance or supplement any of my own though, and certainly none of this is connected to my making a profit. What I'm doing is very similar to somebody making a Dashboard widget that takes clips of a web page and provides convenient easy access to this content. IOW, I'm not stealing this content to use among my own property, just providing a new view of the existing content.
Is this a breach of intellectual property?
Honestly, I have no plans at all for this script... None whatsoever. It was just a little experiment - something to get my feet wet with GD. I have no desire to expand upon it or use it outside of this site whatsoever. Even if I did have such a desire, I have no clue what I could do with this

Just don't forget to mention us in your memoirs so that we can be noted as the proving grounds of your world famous ideas before you became rich and famous

I had to beg for a signature. Then when I switched my ISP, I lost my donated sig. So now I just created a fun sig to a site I maintain. I'm using this as a learning experience.
