Anyone notice the similarities between the two? Maybe those X apple execs that left apple and joined Palm had something to do with this as they were the ones who killed the Folio. To many similarities such as when opening the lid it fires up, no optical disk. Check yourself.. Palm Foleo announced - Engadget . I think apple copied Palm!!!!

Wait, you mean to tell me somebody already had the idea of a computer smaller than a normal notebook — a "subnotebook," if you will? Scandalous!

Compare the features from the link I provided and you will see apple copied alot of the features. Its funny how mac fanboys scream when microcrap copies from apple but when apple does it, its denial.

Yes, the MacBook Air, a ultraportable notebook, definitely rips off of a "smartphone companion". There are no indications that the MacBook Air is a rip-off of the Palm Foleo. Your two examples are by far not any indication of Apple copying the Foleo. The MacBook Air is the late descendant of the PowerBook Duo (sans docking capabilities), which didn't have an optical drive, either. The MacBook Air still has a power button, too, which requires pushing to fire up the computer.

Your argument doesn't make any sense at all. One is a fully featured subnotebook, the other a mobile companion for a smartfone with no real reason to exist without said smartfone.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

1. All Mac laptops wake up when you open them.

2. The Palm Folio did not invent the idea of leaving out an optical drive.

It's not denial. The facts just aren't on your side.

Not to mention the folio project was canceled! I was hoping more of a Apple version of the Asus EEE with an 8 or 9 inch screen. I think the MBA is cute, but definately not worth the 1800 their charging for it.
