How do you switch between themes? I just created a /library/Themes/ directory and put a theme in there but i have no clue what to do from there.

You need to use a 'theme switcher' like Duality to replace embedded system resources with those bundled into your theme(s). The theme folder you created isn't an official system directory, it's just the agreed-upon place theme switcher developers are using.

Go there for the latest version of Duality. Good luck

Right! Duality is still 5x better than Chameleon.

Duality 4 is coming pretty well. OT, I think the tabbed version of it looks great.

Ssssshhhhh the almighty Zimphire, god of "I'm always right" doesn't like people asking about Sosumi. It'll be out with the new G5's sometime in late eternity.

Hmm, someone is irritable. :cough:macguru:cough:

I like Duality as much as the next guy... ok, I hate Duality. Correction, I loath Duality.

I'm still using old MMX 4, the only switcher that I have never had any problems with and does the only two things needed in a switcher: switch themes and allow me to select what parts will be installed.

Ambush, how's that free theme switcher thingy you were working on going?

I'm not irritable, I'm just talking about the almost overwhelming number of threads where Zimphire takes up side one and someone takes up side two and it turns into a "I'm Right you're a ********" thread rather than the TOPIC.

The guy asked for information on theme switching NOT what we thought about them. So there was no need for Matt to mention his dislike for an app if it WORKS.

Geez people chill...

Seeing as how many people have gone through Duality hell I think its fair to say that Duality does not not work 100% of the time. Also, since I am totally on topic here with my comments ("Themes"), I can say whatever I like. Don't send this guy down to Duality Hell just because you're sucking up to the creator of Duality.

So stuff some ice-cubes down your shirt and CHILL

Er you mean like everyone esle does in this forum? Including yourself? Did you need to birate me in a thread not about me?
The difference must be I am not agreeing with you, therefore you single me out.

Why did you post a personal attack against me then? You did nothing different than Matt did.

Glass houses and stuff.

Seesh. Its not like anyone has any reason to suck up to me. Many people have said good things about your software and I never said anything about it.

You do own your own theme changer, why don't you use it? I even have Chameleon installed on my machine (along with MMX1, 3.X versions were not as good).

As long as a certain someone uses every theme thread as a chance to bash software, I think he might need to take his own advice. The theme community would be a whole lot better without this changer wars nonsense, like how it was during 10.1.

May I state the obvious fact that its just a theme switcher? That themes are a child's attempt at Kaleidoscope? We need kick-ass themes, not theme switchers. It doesn't make a difference if you can switch your three grey themes with Duality.

I like MMX 4 because its a theme switcher. Period. No bells and no whistles.

101 Theme switchers and a handful of themes

You know this yet admittedly contribute to the confusion with yet another theme switcher? The logic seems lost somewhere..............
