Just wanted to spread the word about the
XLink Kai network and app, which are thankfully available for Mac OS X, because I've been able to play a few old PS2 games which have had Internet support dropped from their developers.
You just run the app, which connects to one of their servers and then hook up your console to the same network. You select LAN in the game, but you'll really be connected to the net via the app, and you can play as if it were an ordinary LAN game.
