What do yo suggest to a user who has about 7 usb devices and 2 computers?

are there who have 2 upload ports or do I have to stick to shared printers and shared superdisk / ZIP drives?

A USB switch box would work. I think you should be able to plug the hub into it and switch them all at once. I don't know of any multi-computer hubs.
