A friend who is still using PC wanted to play online and the only game we had in common was Quake 1.
So I installed Quake 1.
Now I cannot play Red Faction anymore !
I get a message :
error : unable to get pixel format
on Gdevice
Adl error : no error
file:gr_mac.cpp-line:147
a critical error has occurred and
the program cannot continue.
press Ok to exit the program
what to do? I reinstalled OpenGl and red faction. didn't work.

The Quake 1 installer on the Mac will overwrite all of your ATI extensions. Also, it will replace all versions of Game Sprockets with older junk. Clean it all out and reinstall this stuff.

Aside from adding a bunch of useless Game Sprocket files previously mentioned, I think the main problem with the Quake I installer is that it replaces the Quickdraw3D RAVE extenstion. Running the Quicktime 5 updater, should fix that. I'll try and install Quake I again some time to double check.
