I keep all my versiontracker type downloaded programs in a folder called OSXapps which is also in my dock so I can access all of them with the giant popup menu (I really miss the old apple menu and the tabs at the bottom of the screen). Now that I have 110 items in that folder I've noticed that the last ten don't show up in the popup list. Which means I actually have to open up the window to run xOptimize because it doesn't show. Only 100 items in a popup list??? What a stupid little bug!

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

While we're on this topic, let me ask all you experts a question which has been in the back of my head for a long time. It was like this with the apple menu, and is like this in the dock. There is a limited number of sub-menus you can have. Why is this? I keep my files organized into many subgroups, and it is such a bear because I almost never can open up a document, for instance, through this system; rather, I get into a folder near it and do the rest manually. I though the great OS X would fix this issue. Thanks.

The reason for the five sub-menus is apparently that after five menus, at least in the old Apple menu, you would hit the right edge of the screen and start moving back the way you came, which either was considered confusing or could easily get screwed up if you moving your mouse over old underlying sub-menus. Er, I think that's it.

Anyhoo, while I think these should be considered "bugs" not safety features in the new OS, you have to ask yourself at what point is this not a quick search/find/open method any more? Would it not be faster to use either the Finder or something like LaunchBar at that point?

Personally, if any software developer offers a feature, it should work completely, or not be offered at all. To me that qualifies as a bug - until it is fixed, or removed.
