I have a 2003, 800MHZ Power PC G4 512 MB of memory running OS X version 10.2.8
Burner is Combo CD-RW/DVD Philips CDD5301 (came on the machine)
Trying to back up photo albums in iphoto version 2.0.1
It either works or it doesn't!
It shows the folowing messages:
Copying photos
Copying Albums
Burning to Philips CDD5301
at this point it either goes on to verify the burn and it completes OK or it pops open and says"Burn failed on Philips CDD5301 Unknown error (-2147352480)"
The first time it failed i tried again but it would not accept the same CD-r. i put in a new one and it worked.
Most times it worked on the second try...and once it accepted a CD-r that it previously rejected.
I managed t burn 3-4 CD-r's but now it won't complete.
I'm at the point where i want to re-install OS X, since nothing on this machineis working well anymore, but need tp finish backing up the photos!
Anybody have any suggestions?
