I corresponded on a website with a Linux gal one time about the Sharp Zaurus. She really liked hers. However, it is only available in the East now.

Does anyone know where one might be ordered? I really like my 15" PowerBook, but it is a bit large to carry in my pocket, and my iPod is not exactly the same.

I have lost touch with that linux person, the conversation was not even on a linux site.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you for those links. I did search, but did not look at enough sites, apparently. I found one in which new Zauri may be had; the top line model was, for 899$. That is a bit much, I had rather get a Macintosh of some kind than to do that.

The prices on the Zauruses that you linked are better.

I hope Apple does come out with this tablet that is talked about on some sites. That or the i telephone that has some abilities.
