So.....I had to get an iPad for my new job, and pay for a data plan (non reimbursed) .
Of course a month later Verizon worked out that most folks that were paying $30 for 3GB could get by with 3GB but on 2 so they raised the price to $40! Now I remember why I hate Verizon and went to prepaid for my cell phone using Page Plus, paying 1/3 what i was with Verizon. Unless anyone knows a cheaper alternative to Verizon for data,
I'm looking for suggestions on settings for the iPad to save data during the day, in the evening I can use my wi-fi .

For starters, turn off Location Services, Background App Refresh, and everything having to do with iCloud that you can do without.
Then, go into Notification Center and be really ruthless with what you turn off.
