I'm afraid that due to the failure of the Creative Pro conference, IDG may be considering only having one MacWorld expo a year. (Meaning not even one in Tokyo) I can understanding ending the east coast shows, but not with Tokyo. Apple has a major market in Japan. David Korse seems to be the one making the decesion, isn't he also the reporter for C|Net News.com? Well, anyway, here's a link...

Here in the UK, the annual expo is now run by a third party who saw a gap in the market (there used to be an Apple sanctioned one up until 1997, then they mysteriously pulled out in 1998 -- sound familiar?) and started one in 2001. It's pretty popular, so popular in fact that Apple started exhibiting at it
If there's space, perhaps a third party will step in and fill the void in Tokyo.

There was an article in the Boston Globe saying that it was doubtful that MacWorld would continue in Boston. All due to the poor showing in NY!
