I installed the iTunes 6.0.4 and the latest security update today. After the update installed, as usual, the computer asked me to restart. I restarted my computer and after I logged in the computer logged me out. I tried logging in again, and it logged me out after a minute (after Entourage and Snapz Pro X just loaded as startup applications). I have tried running Disk Utility and Disk Warrior, no problems... I have tried to repair disk permissions as well. No problems... I have restarted the PRAM... None of this works. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?

Try logging in with the shift key held down. If you can, then look into ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter what's the last thing that crashed and if that is at fault 'fix' the problem.

I've just tried safe booting the computer, no luck. It still logged out after logging in.

I would try a few things.

First, repair permissions. I would do this in single-user mode using the diskutil command.
Second, check and repair the disk using DiskWarrior.

If those two don't solve it, try an archive and install of the system. If that still doesn't work, back up your computer, zero the drive, and start from scratch. It's a ton of work, but it'll solve your problem.
