Why is this a misspelling? Fits the drawing quite well!

Your lucky the dad wasn't arrested for child abuse. Look what happened to this guy... http://www.torontosun.com/2012/02/25/arrested-dad-wants-answers-after-daughter-draws-gun-pic
I don't know if this was brought up here or another forum. But it was hilarious... but not so hilarious for the dad.
Shows you what happens when someone interprets something completely wrong and doesn't check the facts. Total overkill.

Yeah, and it took until June for the police to "apologize" to the family. Even then they made a case that a clear plastic Airsoft gun could be dangerous or even constitute a threat if pointed at someone. Insane.
All of the folks involved should have lost their jobs and been shamed out of the community - social workers, police, teachers - everyone.

I was just thinking about that the other day, when my ex was completely shaken by having seen somebody pull a gun on a bus (he later turned out to be an undercover cop arresting a suspect).
Guns here are simply not part of the culture. Even *seeing* one is disconcerting, because they Just. Don't. Happen. (unless it's on a uniformed cop). Guns are locked up, or on police officers.
That doesn't justify the over-reaction above, but I can understand why they might have freaked.

It was a drawing. It is bad enough when kids are suspended for bringing toy lego guns to school, but this wasn't even that. It disrupted the whole family. Maybe the dad plays video games. At most, I can see talking to the parents about it. Arresting someone for possession, with no evidence but a crayon drawing, is just assinine.
Back to the OP topic, as for unfortunate kid drawings:
