Hey guys,
Is there a way to configure a router to transmit only one internal/LAN ip address? I have a feeling that my ISP might charge me for having an extra computer on the connection, I think there's a way to make it look like only one computer is on the router, though I'm not sure how to do it.

If you are running any cable/DSL router between your broadband connection and your LAN there is almost no way for your ISP to know any better. And frankly, you are complying with any "only one device" rule, since your router is only one device and it gets only one IP address. The fact that you may divvy up that address' bandwidth internally on your LAN is purely your business.
A cable/DSL router (all of 'em that I've ever heard of anyway) provides Network Address Translation (NAT)-a function that shares a single WAN IP address by flagging packets from an internal LAN computer in such a way that the router can tell where they come from and where replies go, but the outside world cannot. A NAT router DOES make it look like there's only one computer connected to your modem, so you're already covered. NAT is a native function of these routers and most of them don't have a facility to turn it off; you don't have to do anything to "stealth yourself" behind that kind of router.

I've been looking into NAT functionality, but as I've done some security checks, I've found that some tests can read my internal IPs as well. I just figured if security sites could do it, my ISP sure could.
