With all the shenanigans surrounding ballot measures, I found myself thinking earlier today. I wish someone had put a "dump DST" measure on this ballot. It would have been a perfect time. Come election day, people will still be annoyed with the time change. It's this upcoming Sunday, if anyone was wondering.
If year-around Standard Time were on the ballots in every state, I expect most states would pass it.
this may end up in a separate thread, if people are as annoyed as I am with the biannual nonsense

It seems the European Union is one step ahead of you. In the last few days, I had to reboot all my Apple devices because “Time zone information was updated”.

Maybe I’m just far enough north, but I like DST.

I could get behind ditching DST. I'm in the north.

I live on the border between Eastern and Central time zones (the state is mostly in the eastern zone, with a couple of corners in the central zone.) We used to be one of the few (only?) states that did not observe DST. Our clocks remained the same while the rest of the country pivoted around us twice a year. There's a pretty funny West Wing episode where they are on the campaign trail and encounter dealing with Indiana's...unique...timey-wimey situation.
We've been on the DST wagon for ages now. I don't really see that it makes much of a difference for us.
True fact: The reason Indiana remained unchanged for so long is that the farmers complained that all that jumping around with time would upset the livestock. Such is the power of the farm vote that we stayed unmoved for so long.

The survival of DST and the penny are the only things that make me believe in a mass conspiracy

MAYBE. All the EU did was remove the absolute requirement that everyone change at the same time. If we all end up ditching it, that would be great. If we all end up ditching it but Spain and France decide to stay on summer time (ie, effectively move to GMT), that would be OK as well. The issue starts if some nations decide to stay in DST, or the map of who is in GMT and who is in CET becomes a patchwork.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Do you like it getting dark at 4pm in the winter?

I'd take a little sunlight left while home after work than the opposite personally.

I can see the appeal, but personally, I’m not going to do anything with it because it’s so miserably cold out.

None of these signatures match, so I’m afraid these votes are going to have to be discarded.
Daylight Savings Time wins 1-0.
