I recently got a Buffalo g54 card (with port for external antenna) for my Ti/400. I put it in the PCMCIA slot, and it's working fine. However, there is one annoyance: every time I put the laptop to sleep or remove and reinsert the card, OSX asks me for its administrator password. From what I can tell, OSX needs to switch the driver over to use the PCMCIA slot instead of the AirPort slot, and I can understand why it would want an Administrator password to make that change. I just wish it would remember the setting.

Is there a way to tell the AirPort driver to use the PCMCIA slot by default, so that it doesn't have to keep switching?
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!
