I have OS X running fine, but classic and my 9.X partition will not work. I have a powerbook Ti with 384 MB.

Everytime I tru to run I get the message

This startup disk will not work on this Macintosh model. Use the latest installer to update this disk for this model.
If I try and run the 9.2.1 update from the CD, it locks up.
I tried to use the "Update Driver" in the drive setup program, and Disk First Aid said everything was fine with the hard disk.

HELP

Is your firmware up to date?

The Apple site link is:
http://kbase.info.apple.com/cgi-bin/...load&type=text

According to the site, your firmware should be up to 2.7. I don't have a TiBook so I don't know when it was released. The file rev. date is 6/29/01.
