No. Probably not more than 1-2 fps better. The 1.25 has a GeForce FX 5200, which might be a little faster than the GeForce 4, but not much.
Halo is a very poor performance tool. It doesn't really get high frame rates, even on a Dual G5 with a Radeon 9800 Pro. So if the fastest system out there is getting 40fps, and you're getting 20 or so now, you've only got a little ways to go and a lot of horsepower in between.

Yes, Halo is a very poor tool for use as a performance guage. It doesn't seem to be optimized for anything very well.
My Dual 1.40 G4 runs Halo just as well as it ran it when it was still a single processor 933, before I upgraded it. And my friends 1.33GHz Power Mac runs Halo barely better with a 64MB GeForce 3 than it did with a 32MB Radeon.

On which you still won't see much of an improvement... the bottom line is Halo is a terrible port. I have played it on a 2Ghz Dual G5 and witnessed stuttering movement and dropped frames.
Having said that it really is a fun game to play, just very poorly optimized for any system.

It runs well on my machine as long as no one's in the game....
G4 1.2 Dual ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
I was just wondering do any of you use anti aliasing and what sampling? I use 2x sampling it makes everything a tiny bit smoother and doesn't slow down, but if I set it any higher I can't even walk near a vehicle without the computer slowing down.

My aunt's 12" 1.25 GHz iMac runs halo surprisingly well compared to my Dual 867/Radeon 9600. I didn't have time to run a few time trials to see what the actual difference was. But I wouldn't at all be surprised if it was a few FPS faster than my Dual (which gets around 27-30 FPS) because I never got any slow down or anything. It was quite enjoyable.
