does anyone know of good screensavers for use as desktop backgrounds using something like desktop effects(http://flyingmeat.com/freestuff.html)?
and if possible themes that go with them?

Marine Aquarium is not only the best screensaver ever made for OSX, it's great to have in the background. It doesn't max out the CPU in a late model mac like most screensavers do so you can still work, and it moves very slow and relaxing so you don't get distracted by something always going nuts behing your windows. A close second for me is Warp Field, which is kind like the old 'Warp' afterdark screensaver that looks like the view froward from the bridge of the Enterprise, but it looks a LOT better than either. It's a good desktop saver for the same reasons as Marine Aquarium, plus it's free!

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

When I said free, I was referring to Warp Field and mentioned it as one advantage it had over Marine Aquarium. Another good background one I thought of is FluffyCubes. Very relaxing and kinda cool.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

ok I been trawling through these forums for ages and said nothing (mainly due to using themes and not being clever enough to design them ) but screensavers is another thing I like

Current favorite is: Flux

Other good free screensavers:
Helios
Plasma Tunnel
Solar Winds
Fluffy Cubes
Flurry

Best site i know is :
http://www.desktopper.net/archives/000003.html

Hope that helps
