Had my iphone a few weeks. It's had a cover on the back since day one, and a screen shield on the front. I've never dropped it. Just so happened to take it out the case and noticed this sort of gash. Is this akin to the cracks being reported? I seriously baby this phone, and just wondering if I need to take it in.

I agree. Only problem is it has never been dropped or been out of the case.

hrrmmm...have you shown your new phone to a friend or relative recently? i've made the mistake of thinking people would see how much i baby my macbook pro to do anything detrimental to it, only to see a friend toss it on a couch from 6ft away...like the bumper sticker says, ish happens. you might wanna get a thin skin like case to cover that blemish up but don't let it bother you too much...enjoy your phone to the fullest.
