So I was tying a response to a posting in a discussion group for a class I am taking and I went to copy my response for reasons I can't fathom I hit the delete key instead of CMD-C (yes, I am an idiot). Don't panic I thought, just CMD-Z to undo it.

IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!

Wait . . . let me say that again,

IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!

This is in Safari 1.2.1 (v125.1)

Yeah, that bugs me too. It goes against the Mac UI guidelines - anything destructive should either alert the user and confirm the deletion, or be un-doable.

Whenever I post more than a few lines I compose it in TextEdit first.

Yeah, OmniWeb is better at this than Safari.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Really? OmniWeb does this? I usually use OmniWeb on this site because of the really nice form editing features, but in the end, the beta is just a bit too flakey so I switched back to Safari yesterday. Arg!

Hit the bug button.

The more people report it - the more likely it is to be fixed.

The forum descriptions clearly state that application topics DO NOT belong in the OS X forum! The Software forum is there for a reason.
