Living in china there is lots of opportunity to try more exotic foods, sweet and sour snake, deep fried scorpions and duck intestines are the wierdest I have tried.
That's actualy pretty pedestrian compaired to what I could eat if I had the guts.
whats your wierdest cullanary experience?

Pig Ear sandwich.
1) Cook pig ear
2) Slap pig ear on white bread, cover liberally with mustard.
3) savory the slimey goodness.
It really was quite nasty.
Also ate live red ants. Not bad, you put 'em between your molars and they kinda 'pop'. They taste almost sweet. Not very filling, tho.

Bat wing. It was during a vacation when I was in a small town in Sichuan province during a trip to China. I passed on the cow brain though and had seconds of the frog legs.
Durian would come quite close.

Not disgusting, but when I'd go camping we'd make pine tea.

Oh, and I forgot one thing that many foreigners find weird.
Whale meat. Highly recommend you try it if you have the chance. Best steaks I've ever tasted.

Indeed. Squid sushi is delicious.
I wasn't so hot on the uni (sea urchin roe) sushi. It was like a chunk of tan stuff that turned to creamy goo the second you bit down on it. :-/
I've had alligator (=gummy chicken) and ostrich (delicious). Frog legs rock -- but don't buy the French ones. In France, they take little frogs and rip their legs off without killing it first. I prefer the American frog legs, where they kill a BIG frog and then cut its legs off.

Raw squid is rubbery.
Raw Octopus is rubbery & crunchy at the same time. Both are savory.
Sea Urchin is nasty. Like eating someone else's seafood vomit.

Alligator is a novelty food. To fiberous. Rattlesnake is another novelty food, and about the same as alligator. Both are the kind of things that only get brought up in discussions like this one.
And frog legs absolutely rock.

Just like sashimi, prawns, crab, lobster, most edible birds, and my favorite, good ol' American beef. Ever see a film of how cows are slaughtered?

Yes, that's what "roe" means.
It's basically sea urchin caviar.
It's also quite delicate, and I really liked the uni sushi I've had.

1. You say that as if it should make me sick. It doesn't.
2. I'll sooner trust a sea urchin fishing company than some trashy mag that can't think of a better way to describe the texture than to liken it to snot. Look at http://www.catalinaop.com/uni.htm. They describe it as "internal roe".

My point was that your aim to shock went far and wide, because I'm pretty sure that most people who eat roe know that it's associated with.
And:
From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) :
Roe \Roe\, n. [For roan, OE. rowne, akin to G. rogen, OHG.
rogan, Icel. hrogn, Dan. rogn, ravn, Sw. rom; of uncertain
origin; cf. Gr. ??? pebble, Skr. ?arkar[=a] gravel.]
1. (Zo["o]l.) The ova or spawn of fishes and amphibians,
especially when still inclosed in the ovarian membranes.
Sometimes applied, loosely, to the sperm and the testes of
the male.
Sea urchins aren't fishes, so I suppose the term is rather loosely applied, anyway.

The wierdest things I've eaten are probably pig ears and pig stomach (not the contents in the stomach), which were actually pretty good. I thought squids were normal until I read this thread
