Hi,

ever since I bought my ibook after a friend recommended apple to me, I have had nothing but hasstle from it - amazingly this has not put me off apple products!!

my ibook g3 900 has had freezing/ crashing and flickering screen problems for the past four months. I have sent it to apple three times to get repaired. the forst time it went i anm not sure that they did any thing to fix it- it came back dead (exactly the same as it was when it went).

They have now finally agreed to replace the ibook for me (after spending a fortune on the phone bill and a lot of holding!).

What I am asking is - will I recieve a new ibook g4 or will they send me a g3??

any thoughts?

Maybe you should explicitely have asked for a G4 iBook. Otherwise, you'll problably receive a G3 iBook... Just my bet.

If possible, ask if you can pay the difference to get a 12" PowerBook. I have not heard of any logic board issues with PowerBooks, and they are much faster and more powerful. In fact, I'd avoid any of Apple's consumer products. They're not bad, they're just not as well built as their Pro counterparts.

By the way, what the hell is the point to your poll? Neither of your options make any sense.
