sidebar shows up twice?

Might be a n00b question, but...in Finder windows, sidebar items are showing up twice. So I have two icons for applications, two icons for documents, two icons for desktop, etc. Did Get Info on them and they're shortcuts to the same location.
I repaired permissions, same thing. If I remove an icon from the sidebar, it takes its duplicate along with it. Very strange.
Anyone have any idea what's going on and how to fix this?

I just said when I drag them out, it also drags out its duplicate. I *want* one copy of the icons, not two.

I've got the same problem, except the items show up once in the Finder and multiple times in the open/save dialogues in other apps!
