My inlaws would like me to help them set up their wireless network (i've never done it, but it can't be that hard). They've got a netgear range master wireless router currently serving their dell. They've got an ibook (white 600 mhz) that doesn't have an airport card. Having never set one up before, will any airport card work with this ibook? I didn't see a slot to connect it - where does it go?
Any help y'all can give me here would b e much appreciated!
thanks
-Seb

Networking questions go in the Networking forum, so I'm moving this there.
I think the G3s all took the original AirPort card, and the G4s all take the AirPort Extreme card.
You're right in that it isn't that difficult to get things networked; there is NO issue with what other hardware (i.e. the Dell) is on the network.

doesn't look like store.apple.com offers the original airport cards anylonger - fair to assume they're discontinued?

froogle.com is your friend...
try, for example, memorysolutions.com.
installing an airport card is easy (but follow instructions!)
