Huh? I'm on a 350Mhz iMac and it works fine, are you sure your machine doesn't have 'issues'?

Not just ShapeShifter. I have tons running. SS is just a luxury. I'd be more secure with it running on a nice 1.x GHz G4. (Also, I haven't bought it yet. And my trial period on the iBook is up. So I'm waiting for the mini to decide once and for all if I should buy it too. I mean, I already own licenses to WindowShades X and Labels X. The latter of which I haven't used since 10.3 came out.) Also, I have to find a theme that I actually want to use. So far the only real one is Smooth Stripes.

So if all goes well, Saturday I should have a Mac mini, 20" display AND ShapeShifter license. Maybe an iPod shuffle. But we'll see.

LOL, nice parody ultraman.
Mine's actually a Cinema 4D rendering of a Paris hotel room. What's (who's) yours ?

My guess is Silk.
http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/silk

Speaking of Silk. Why do some fonts cause the shadow on the desktop (The ones cast from the text labels) to not show up? It's always only the good looking ones.

Combination of checking both "Custom Theme Font" and "Fast".
Better use Font Substitution for Global settings.

silk is really nice, but i could never get it to work how i wanted. i only want to change the menubar font, but it usually messes with safari and other apps, which i hate.

Silk prefs > Global/Application Settings : here you can enable/disable Silk on an individual app base.

I thought silk messed with your system. I searched for it online and I came across These Reviews . Although I see a lot of people using it, i'm still a little skeptical. Any thoughts?

PMDaly, I don't want to sound unrespectfull at all, but you're in the wrong thread I'm afraid. May I suggest you start by doing a search in this forum ? Add up these comments with the ones from VT and see from there.

BTW, Silk works fine for me on both my macs.

... I asked how someone customized their GUI. Their response was "silk". In fact, 6 comments on silk. If this is a stretch than i'll bring my question elsewhere, but as far as i'm concerned i'm in the right place. I've scanned the other pages of this thread and it seems as though there are quite a lot of ppl using silk, so i'll give it a whirl. Thanks guys... guess i'll toss one of these guys in, ... if only we could get the right hand thumbs up too for a little Fonz action.

Gerrit is correct in stating wrong thread as this thread is for posting Mac OS X Screenshots.
Best thing to do in these situation is post your inquiries etc in a new post in Gui proper.

Thanks

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

i'm still working on that theme, which still lacks a name and more. sorry, but i'll have it up for download...some time in the distant future. i just lack creativity right now to finish it.

i also have a red and purple color variant of that theme, but the progress is the same on all of them.

One of the best theme I know, .... Is it an update ? The only default of the orginal one is the lack of skins (safari, itunes, ...)
