Probably not, but this one less so, as they've made quite a few changes in an effort to fit the Wii.

Dogs and cats, living together: Ars reviews Ghostbusters - Ars Technica

Another, more measured review. Note that most of the pros deal with the IP, the cons the actual gameplay.

That first review really had me worried but the Ars review left me with some hope. Oh well, I'm still picking it up after work.

Honestly, it sounds like a rental, possibly a frustrating one. Worth a play, but unless you're really into it, that's about it (Particularly if you have no friends with it).

I'll try to make this quick because it's getting late. So far I'm loving the game. It doesn't seem to be too repetitive... at least not yet. They did a nice job of switching things up with the different weapons & upgrades. Despite what the reviews said, the AI characters aren't that bad. They do a good job of trapping ghosts and always come to your aid when you get knocked down. At least Ray & Winston do. Peter is a total slacker in this game (as he should be).

I started out with the "Experienced" difficulty ("Casual" sounded too easy and I'll save "Professional" for my second run). Although, I didn't get too far in the game tonight. I just finished the level with the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man in Times Square and now I'm off to the library to fight the librarian ghost.

The link Dakar posted on page 1 regarding the character animation was dead on. The facial expressions don't really matchup well with how the lines are delivered by the actors. It comes off looking a little weird. Also, it's really hard to hear the dialog sometimes. The dialog volume is way lower than the rest of the game. (Especially Bill Murray's lines). Despite all of this, the humor is still quite funny if you're a Ghostbuster fan. I've already experienced a few LOL moments in the game. Not just with the dialog but with the ghost design. For example:

There's a level where you have to escort Ecto 1 through the street rubble cause by Mr. Stay Puff. You come across an Opera House and Ray mentions something like, "Hey, is the Opera House open again? Didn't one of the singers die from an on stage accident just last week?" Sure enough an opera singing ghost known as the Fat Lady (with pig tails and a Viking helmet) flies out of the building and attacks the Ghostbusters but not before she warms up her voice first.

Here's a good article comparing the graphics between the PS3 & 360 versions. It's shocking how bad the textures look on the PS3 version.

I just don't understand why they had issues with textures. Shouldn't that be advantage PS3 (since they take up space?). There must be something involved in rendering them that I don't understand.

I don't rent games anymore. They're too expensive. Having it for only 5 days, I can't commit the time to get far into it. I'd rather buy it.

Heh, you wish.

In all reality I'm the most excited for this Fallout DLC than any of the previous ones.

Seriously dude, this is the best $20 you can buy. Burnout is such a fun and addictive game! Just last night, Stogie, Myself, Bogues and Dakar just whipped out 50 online challenges and it was fun as hell. Dakar even spent about ten minutes chasing my ass down all over Paradise City just to get even after I took him down. Great times!

Seriously dude, get it!

I usually buy used video games so I'm not too disapointed.
If Ghostbusters is really bad, you should get it used for almost nothing.

I'm borrowing it from my brother Stogieman. Haven't started it yet, but will soon. I'm still trying to finish up the ridiculous Resident Evil 5 versus achievements. Are you gonna want to play online and go for the achievements? My gamertag is the same, KCrosbie. Add me as a friend and we can hit it up.

IP Freley. You already have him on your friends list fool. Good luck with trying to get the following achievements. These are very time consuming.

I can't believe it. It only took them 12 months to announce a patch. Oh well, better late than never. It would be nice if they added some DLC or Avatar awards while they're at it.

That was a shockingly bad PS3 port, especially considering how the developer spokesman was boasting that they were going to do a lot more for the PS3 version given its beefier hardware. Looks like it was a good game, too - too bad I'll never play it. Ghostbusters was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

I guess the people in charge of the PS3 game were short-sighted.

It would've been really fun if the PC version had multiplayer support. I just don't understand why they did that. I won't be buying the game because I can't play it with my friends.

While its not directed you, that is pretty ****ing funny. A year and a half and they overlook the likely outcome that most of the people waiting for this patch will have every other damned achieve.
