ok, my MacBook HD (80GB) is starting to fill up. Can i go to the Apple Store and ask them to upgrade it to a 120GB HD? Im not tech savey so i am sure that if i tryed to upgrade it i would kill my MacBook. How much would it cost? Can i even go to Apple Store and et it upgraded?

one more thing, Will they take my files from the 80GB HD and transfer it to the 120GB HD?

you dont need to be tech savvy to replace the hard drive in the macbook its 4 simple screws or so, then you pull the old hard drive out, slide the new hard drive in, tighten the screrws and voila..youre done.

you would need an external hard drive enclosure (bout 20 bucks or so).

then run the migration assistant from applications-utilities and you'll be able to get your system running identically to what you had before. or you could use CCC or Superduper, both availble for download from versiontracker.com.

You could transfer files to another mac, a pc, or a linux box before you rip out the drive and retrieve them after you install the new drive.

...or, if you have a high-capacity iPod, you could clear out the music and do it that way.
