My Mac Pro is sleeping. My iPhone is connected to the computer, charging. If I take the phone out of the cradle, the computer will wake up...which I don't want it to. Is there any way to prevent the computer from waking in this instance?

Don't know, but this is an annoying 'feature.'

Yeah it does that to me.. Not only with iPhone but with other USB items as well. Mouse, Keyboard, Camera Cord - if camera is attached etc. etc.

Any activity on the USB bus must wake up the machine. That's the whole point! How would you wake your machine otherwise?
If you're just charging, you could get a wall charger instead of connecting to the computer.
