Today I backed up my internal HD using Disk Utility. When I started I had 152 GB free space on the drive, but when I finished I had 214 GB free space. I seem to have the same number of items as I did before I started the backup, just an extra 62GB of space. Anyone have an idea where the extra free space came from?
Thanks Dick

Didn't know DU could do backups. I always use Carbon Copy Cloner. Strange you have so much space.
